hi, I was wondering if anyboby had any ideas on how to treat acne, my daughter has some very severe spots
and scars are getting more and more.
I have heard that scrubbing only makes it worse. What do you think?

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your daughter. Acne should be evaluated by a doctor because there are some forms that actually can be cleared by topic ointments, other cases may need oral medication. Either way to do nothing could mean scars that will never go away. This is never good for a young girl entering into adulthood. Good Luck

My two daughters did the following. Washed their faces thouroughly
with a gentle soap and a washcloth, dried, and applied a 5% or 10%
application of a benzoyl peroxide medication (over the counter)
called either Oxy-5 and Oxy-10 three times a day - morning,
afternoon, and before bed.

They both ended up acne free in about two months. This medicine
gently strips off the small top layer of skin which tends to get its
pores clogged with oil, dirt, bacteria, and the like which typically
causes acne.

P.S. Need to continue once a day after acne clears to stay acne free.
